DAR ES SALAAM, May 5 (Xinhua) -- A Tanzanian student has been appointed Huawei Global Ambassador 2025 Seeds Accelerator for the Southern African region, local media reported on Monday.
Natasha Nassoro, a fourth-year student pursuing a bachelor of science in electronics and telecommunication engineering at the Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT), received the appointment during last month's global camp in China, reported The Citizen newspaper.
According to the report, the camp at Huawei's headquarters in Shenzhen aimed to inspire students in digitalization, innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainability.
"I'm honored to be appointed Huawei Global Ambassador 2025 Seeds Accelerator for the Southern Africa region. This has inspired me to work harder in my academic and professional journey," Nassoro said.
Seeds for the Future is Huawei's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. It selects students for training, international competitions, and alumni engagement focused on digital skills, cross-cultural exchange, and entrepreneurship. ■
