BRASILIA, Feb. 6 (Xinhua) -- Brazil's vehicle production is continuing to recover from the country's two-year recession, according to data published Tuesday by Anfavea, the national automaker association.

In January, over 216,000 vehicles rolled off the assembly line with a 24.6 percent increase year-on-year and the volume produced reached the monthly average of the past decade, said Anfavea President Antonio Megale.

One of the reasons for the recovery was the strong growth in exports, which reached 47,000 units in January and brought in 728 million U.S. dollars for automakers.

January saw 181,200 new units sold in Brazil's domestic market, 23.1 percent more than in January 2017. In terms of trucks, sales increased 54.8 percent year-on-year.
