ANKARA, June 16 (Xinhua) -- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday spoke respectively with his French and Uzbek counterparts on the phone to discuss bilateral ties and regional issues.

Erdogan and French President Emmanuel Macron discussed the issues of Syria, counterterrorism and refugees, highlighting the importance of cooperation between Turkey and France, the Anadolu Agency reported.

The Manbij roadmap agreed by Turkey and the United States earlier this month was also discussed, the report said.

Turkey and the U.S. agreed on June 4 on the pullout of the Kurdish fighters from the Syrian city of Manbij to avoid potential clashes between Turkish troops and the U.S. troops stationed in the city.

During Erdogan's phone call with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further bolstering the bilateral relations, Anadolu reported.

Mirziyoyev also expressed his goodwill on the upcoming Turkish elections on June 24, the report said.
