SAINT PETERSBURG, July 3 (Xinhua) -- Sweden coach Janne Andersson says his team will not be satisfied with a World Cup quarterfinal exit as they seek a berth in the last four of football's flagship event for the first time since 1994.

Sweden kept their World Cup dream alive on Tuesday after Emil Forsberg's 66th-minute strike gave them a 1-0 victory over Switzerland in the round of 16 here.

The result sent Sweden's raucous contingent of traveling fans, whose beating drums and tireless singing had created a carnival atmosphere, into a frenzy as they chanted Andersson's name at Saint Petersburg stadium.

"It was a surreal feeling to stand at the side of the pitch hearing the fans calling out my name, but football is a team sport and this team, for me, personifies that," Andersson said. "It's all about the process right now and it's full steam ahead for us. We're not satisfied with what we've done - we want to win the next match too."

Sweden will now play the winner of Tuesday's other round of 16 match between Colombia and England, with a place in the semifinals at stake.

The last time the Scandinavian outfit went that far was in 1994, when Tommy Svensson's side finished third in the United States.

"We all work so hard for each other on and off the pitch," Andersson said. "We know that we are a good team and that we have earned our successes. We're all very happy about the successes we have seen so far. But we need to digest this quickly as we have another game coming up soon, on Saturday."
