SKOPJE, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- Macedonian National Bank lowered the country's economic growth projection in 2018 from 3.2 percent in April to 2.3 percent, governor of the Macedonian National Bank Anita Angelovska Bezoska told media on Thursday.

According to Bezoska, the downgrade made for 2018 is a reflection of the weaker accomplishments during the first half of the year.

"During the first half of the year, a growth of 3.3 percent was predicted, and 1.6 percent was accomplished which came out mostly from the investments," said Bezoska.

Meanwhile, in regard to the structure of the growth, Bezoska added that it is expected that domestic demand would be main engine behind the growth with the exception of 2018 when the biggest effect will have the net export.

Moreover, the governor said that in 2019 the growth is expected to reach 3.5 percent, and 3.8 percent and 4 percent in 2020 and 2025.
