Turkey's inflation rate down in November

ISTANBUL, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- Turkey's annual inflation fell to 21.62 percent in November, mainly driven by plunging prices in transportation, according to data released on Monday.

On a monthly basis, the costs of transportation declined by 6.46 percent in November, show the figures released by the Turkish Statistical Institute.

Meanwhile, the prices related to household goods and entertainment and culture dropped by 2.85 percent and 2.08 percent respectively.

In November, the costs of clothing and footwear grew by 2.37 percent, while the health expenses increased by 0.57 percent.

Turkey's inflation hit 25.24 percent in October, the highest since 2003.
